Željko Božić is one of the the most awarded Slovenian dancers and choreographers. His work has won over hundred titles in national, European and world events organized by various Dance Organizations and festivals. IDO (International Dance Organization) awarded him with Hall of fame award for outstanding choreography achievements.

Past four years he also collaborated as a judge and teacher with international Dancestar dance festival. He also made a concept, directed and co-coreographed Dance star’s first video project.

 He started as a latin-american and ballroom dancer, been a member of Slovenian national team, but than also expanded his knowledge with jazz ballet and show dance technique. He has also been exposed to modern and contemporary dance. His prime dance orientation nevertheless is street style dancing. He has been sharing his extensive knowledge since 1996 and has given workshops in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Austria, Norway and big camps like Urban Dance Camp, SDK, Beat Camp, Adria Dance Camp.

 Dance videos are also one of his passions. His project Letter (2017) was official selection for Trans(m)it: Movement in Film festival in London, Tiny Dance Film Festival in San Francisco, Best Seconds – Video Competition in Switzerland, MUMVI Multidisciplinary Dance Film Festival in Mexico and USA, Riff Festival in Norway, InShadow Screen Dance Festival in Portugal, Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema in USA, Verve Dance Film Festival (USA), Seattle Hip Hop Film Festival, San Francisco Dance Film Festival, Capitol Dance & Cinema Festival in Washington, San Francisco Dance Film Festival, Cascadia Dance & Cinema Festival in Canada (1st prize audience choice award). It was also very well received on social media – more than million and a half people from all over the world has seen this video.

His video The Lake also traveled to several festivals in USA. 

Besides competitions he has also done a lot of commercial work. He has choreographed tv commercials for clients such as Spar, Hofer, Slovenian Telecom, NLB, Slovenian Lottery, Henkel and Simobil. He also choreographed at least fifteen music videos, done show-dance numbers for all major Slovenian tv stations and has choreographed for Slovenian talent search Popstars addition.

Željko is also active in theatre. In 2018 he presented his work at Breakin’ Convention in London, one of the biggest theatre festivals in the world.

His work includes full length theatre production “Let’s make a show” (2011) and original musical “Change” (2014) for Sarajevo War Theatre, “Dream Job” (2016) for Slovenian most known cultural establishment Cankarjev dom, “Heroes from the Scrap Yard” (2016) for theatre in Novo Mesto. As a dancer he performed in “Sun City” under the direction of Goran Bogdanovski and “Promised Land” (2019) music and dance production by Marko Brdnik. This  year he finished the project “The One About Fleas” for the national theatre in Celje, where he worked as a choreographer and assistant director
